The Journey Home
“With her two daughters-in-law she left the place where she had been living and set out on the road that would take them back to the land of Judah.” (Ruth 1:7)
Naomi’s decision to return to Judah was not easy. She left behind memories of her husband and sons, yet she chose to walk toward God’s provision. Returning to God is always the right road, even when painful. Repentance is a journey back to His presence. Naomi’s steps toward Bethlehem symbolize our steps toward restoration. The road home may be long, but it leads to life. When we hear of God’s goodness, we must respond by moving toward Him. Naomi’s journey reminds us that faith is not passive—it requires action.
Prayer: Lord, give me courage to return to You, no matter how far I’ve strayed. Lead me back to Your house of bread and restore me in Your presence.
God is good. He always directs us back to Himself. Hallelujah!
