Strong Commitment

 Ruth’s Strong Commitment

Scripture: “Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.” (Ruth 1:17)

Reflection: Ruth’s commitment went beyond life—it extended to death. She pledged lifelong loyalty, invoking God’s judgment if she failed. This shows the seriousness of covenant love. Faith is not temporary; it is eternal. Ruth’s words remind us that true devotion is not conditional but enduring. Her covenant and strong commitment foreshadows Christ’s eternal love for His church. Just as Ruth bound herself to Naomi, Christ binds Himself to us forever.

Prayer: Father, I choose You. Be my God forever. Let my devotion be steadfast, enduring through life and death, reflecting Your eternal love.
