Trusting His Word

“Trusting His Word

“That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. (Mark 4:35-36).

When Jesus said, “Let us go over to the other side,” His word carried authority. The disciples obeyed, but when the storm arose, fear overshadowed their faith. How often do we begin with confidence in God’s promises, only to falter when circumstances grow turbulent? The storm did not negate His word; it only tested their trust. Jesus was present, even in His sleep, reminding us that His presence is not diminished by silence. When He rose and calmed the storm, He revealed that His word is stronger than the fiercest winds. Today, let us hold fast to His promises. If He has said we will reach the other side, no storm can prevent it.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to trust your word even when storms rise around me. Remind me that your promises are unshakable and your presence is constant. Strengthen my faith to believe that if you have spoken, it will surely come to pass. Amen.
