God's Plan

God’s Plan Amid Schemes
“Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas, and they schemed to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him.” (Mat. 26: 3, 4).

In this passage, we see the darkness of human plotting against the light of God’s purpose. The chief priests and elders, men entrusted with spiritual leadership, conspired to destroy the very One sent to save them. Their secret schemes reveal how fear and pride can blind hearts to truth. Yet, even in their plotting, God’s sovereign plan was unfolding. What they intended for evil became the path to redemption through the cross.

This reminds us that no scheme of man can overturn the will of God. In our own lives, we may face opposition, betrayal, or hidden agendas. But just as Jesus walked steadily toward His mission, we too can trust that God’s purpose will prevail. The cross was not a defeat—it was the victory of love over sin.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, when I face opposition or feel surrounded by schemes, remind me that your plan cannot be thwarted. Give me courage to walk in obedience, trusting that you turn even evil into victory. May my life reflect your triumph at the cross. Amen.
