Hosanna in the Highest
“And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.” (Mat. 21:10, 11)
The city was stirred as Jesus entered Jerusalem. Some shouted “Hosanna,” others asked, “Who is this?” Recognition of Jesus varied—some saw Him as a prophet, others as the promised Messiah. This tension reminds us that true worship is not about crowd excitement but about personal revelation. Jesus came humbly, not as a conquering warrior, but as the Prince of Peace.
Our cry of “Hosanna” must be more than words—it must be a heartfelt plea for salvation. Do we honor Him only when He meets our expectations, or do we trust Him even when His ways surprise us? Let our worship be steadfast, rooted in faith that He is the Redeemer who saves us from sin.
Prayer: Hosanna in the highest, Lord Jesus! Save me now and reign in my heart. May my worship remain true, not swayed by circumstance, but anchored in Your eternal love. Blessed are You who comes into my life with peace and salvation. Amen.
