Who Is This?
“He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” (Mark 4:39–41).
After the storm ceased, the disciples were filled with awe: “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” Their question is the heart of discipleship—discovering who Jesus truly is. He is not merely a teacher; He is Lord over creation. The storm revealed His divine authority, and their fear shifted from the waves to reverence for Him. Sometimes God allows storms to show us His power in ways calm seas never could. Our trials become revelations of His majesty. When we see Him command the uncontrollable, our faith deepens, and our worship becomes more profound.
Prayer: Almighty Lord, open my eyes to see You as You truly are—Master over creation, Savior of my soul. May every storm in my life reveal more of Your glory. Teach me to worship You in awe and trust You completely. Amen.
